Positive Women in Business was offered for the first time in 2024 by PositiveMedia, home of 89.9 TheLight – Melbourne’s Christian radio station. It started with a simple idea: to create a community of women in business focusing on personal and professional growth, and founded in the Christian faith.

For many women, leadership can feel like navigating two separate worlds — faith on one side and business on the other. Positive Women in Business was created to bridge that gap. It’s a space where women can grow personally and commercially, lead with wisdom, and remain grounded in the faith that shape who they are.

What started as small gatherings and honest conversations quickly revealed something deeper. Women were looking for more than networking events or surface-level inspiration. They wanted meaningful connection, thoughtful leadership conversations, and practical insight they could apply in their businesses, organisations and leadership roles.

Over time, that simple idea grew into a community of women who are committed to leading well — women who care about building successful businesses, stewarding influence wisely, and supporting one another through the real challenges of leadership.
